One of the most common questions in my FetLife inbox is, “What’s it like to work for FetLife?” and so I’m going to answer it here because I think people really are curious…
It’s the best job in the world. I think I am one of the luckiest people in the world to be asked by John to be a part of his team. I work with the most awesome people - a group of 35 volunteers who are dedicated and give their time and energy to welcome every single FetLife member. I’m really, really proud of that. FetLife has a soul and at the heart of it all is the greeting team.
Working with John is exactly what you’d expect if you read his profile (http://fetlife.com/users/1). He’s a kinky geek who is a perfectionist and pushes me to constantly do better personally and professionally. He is a genius in ways and a dork in others. He is family. His opinion of me is second only to my husband.
Our caretaker team is constantly working to keep FetLife a friendly and safe environment while being fair and consistent, and that is a huge challenge on a site with over 70,000 members in less than a year!
Working with my husband, MarkyDSade, is a dream come true. For years we’ve tried to find a way to spend our days and nights together and quite honestly, selling ad space on FetLife.com is kind of like selling Girl Scout Cookies. When your product is top shelf, you don’t have to sell anything, who wouldn’t want to advertise on FetLife? When I tell someone, “I think this would be a really good idea,” I’m not bullshitting them - I really do believe in the product I’m promoting.
Being a part of FetLife is a huge honor. To be honest with you, I feel really lucky. I love my job, I love being able to work at home in my panties and a tank top, I love talking to as many people in a day as I can, and I love watching FetLife grow in a positive direction.
