Life is very busy and I’m not sure how much I’ll get a chance to write. This is truthfully one of my favorite blogs to write because it’s just the one where I get to sit down and say ” blah “. What comes out comes out.
Today we officially became the marketing department for FetLife.com, which is exciting! Marky is really the genius at it. I talk to people. I’m good at networking. He’s good at actually making the deals in the dunes. Between the two of us we’re a great team. We think in such different ways that what seems obvious to me wasn’t to him and vice-versa. Also big announcement today from Lochai. He was offered and has accepted the position at Kink.com as the new webmaster/director of Hogtied.com. He recently went out there (to San Francisco) and did a shoot. You can watch it here. I am fortunate enough to have seen it already and I’m telling you - I adored Lochai before, but now I adore Lochai. What a yummy scene. That’s all I’m saying about it. You have to see for yourself!
Another crazy announcement in my circle: Audacia Ray is no longer writing The Naked City. I know?! What the hell are they thinking? Sometimes I wonder.
In other news - I received copies of Rachel Kramer Bussel’s books Spanked!, Tasting Her, and Tasting Him. The thing is, I think that Marky is supposed to review Tasting Her and I was to review Tasting Him, but I like both books! Being bisexual means I get to review both :) I need to get to work on reviews though, because I have a few books and movies that I need to give my opinion on - I know my opinion influences the greater society as a whole, and without it you will be paralyzed - do I buy the book or not?! What about this dildo?! What does Catalina Say?!
I can’t remember if I already mentioned this, but I’m writing now for Trufetish.com and I think this month I’m going to write about polyamory, feeding off of the two articles that are already there. I’ve been on both sides of the pond, as a couple with a girlfriend or a boyfriend and also as the girlfriend of a couple. It’s also a topic that I’ve been discussing a lot lately with close friends.
I am also writing now on The Femmes Guide. It’s an interesting thing, the Femme’s guide, “a sex-positive femme queer collaborative blog”. It was brought up the other day by the editor of the blog that we aren’t a very diverse group - that aside from one of us (me) we are all “white, fat, femmes with advanced educations.” This brings up the issue of me being an ex-fat femme. I’ve been looking for a place to write about this phenemona - the loss of an entire human being (130 lbs. so far) and how the rules have changed. The game is different. I am not quite sure how to navigate through society in this new role. I don’t want to write too much about it here yet, or else why would you bother to go there to read it, but I think it will turn into a nice article.
Well, that about covers everything I can come up with at 4 am. I’ll be back in a few hours, at it again…

July 2nd, 2008 — Domination, Spanking, Stuff and Things, Submission, The Momme Domme
I’ve given a lot of thought lately to my style of domination as I’ve been working a lot on The Momme Domme. I’m not like most Dommes. I don’t go through all the ridiculous bullshit and high and mighty protocol crap. In fact, I think that the same things that make me a good Momme are the same things that make me a good Domme. In both cases, the following things are very simple, but very true:
- I demand total and complete authority. What I say goes. Period. It is my responsibility to consider all involved and there is room for respectful discussion, but in the end, the decision is mine and mine alone.
- It matters as much what as is said as how it is said.
- If I give a task to be done and a time limit in which to do it, it must be done or there will be consequences.
- Permission is necessary for most activities. Privileges are earned and can be revoked.
- Backtalk is never acceptable.
- Bratty behavior results in isolation.
- Sometimes a spanking is necessary.
- Good behavior is rewarded and praised lavishly.
- I feel tenderly and sweetly, maternal, in both cases.
So that’s it - basically I’m bossy and I’m always right. But isn’t every Momme (Domme)?
June 15th, 2008 — Mr. and Mrs. Kink (dot com), Spanking, Stuff and Things
I just took my 14-year-old daughter to the airport so she could visit family back in Oregon for a month. It was, of course, a disaster, as airline travel usually is, but ultimately she ended up on a plane. The insanity didn’t stop there, though. No, in fact I called home to check in with Marky D. Sade and He told me that His parents are moving to Alabama in a week (what?!) and that His Mom is coming from Virginia to visit on Tuesday (WTF?!!). As I was talking to Him, the car next to me had a massive blowout and went off the road! Seriously. So I stopped. I have an unwritten rule that if I see someone who needs help, unless there is a good reason not to, I help them. I ended up meeting a Somalian immigrant who worked for US Airways (W is traveling today on US Airways). He was just trying to get home to his wife and 3 children and his spare was also flat. So I took him down the road. On top of it all, the A/C went out yesterday and our house is hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of July! It won’t be repaired until tomorrow morning. :( Oh, and the baby didn’t nap due to the heat, so Princess Punkinpants (the baby) is instead, Baby No-Nap, the grump.
Still, I’m in good spirits because 30 days without W in the house means 30 nights of spanking for Catalina (provided we can cool off the house enough to touch each other). I can never really get into it with W in the house because I’m afraid that she will hear and think that her father is beating her mother out of anger and we would traumatize her. So regular spankings have been put on hiatus for the most part. A little tap tap here and there while she was at a sleepover, but no official spankings for quite some time. Marky D. Sade loves spanking me as much as I love to be spanked, so we are both looking forward to it. I plan to write about it, frequently, for the next month on Mr. and Mrs. Kink (dot com).
That’s a lot for one day. It’s only 4:00. I think I might head to the pool. It’s too hot in the house. What did you do this weekend?
